IDYLLWILD'S GAY LIFE

Much like Key West, Carmel, Laguna Beach and many other resort communities around the world, Idyllwild has become popular due to a strong gay and lesbian influence. Known for many years as an "Artist Colony" this quaint little hamlet in the mountains above Palm Springs has quite the gay and lesbian following. In fact Idyllwild has a rather large gay and lesbian population with many living here as full-time residents and second home owners. Every month there is a GLT potluck which keeps growing every year. Oh and don't forget in summer months we're much cooler than Palm Springs (sometimes as much as 20 TO 30 degrees cooler) so come up for the day or spend the weekend. Some groups will rent a fabulous vacation home for a week and do it in style.
